Chuka University

Chuka University is a public institution established through a legal notice No. 161 of 2007. It was a constituent College of Egerton University and the successor of the former Egerton University Eastern Campus College, Chuka.

Haramaya University

Haramaya University (HU) is one of the oldest higher learning institutions in Ethiopia which has gone through more than six decades of gigantic transformations since its establishment as an Imperial Ethiopian College of Agricultural and Mechanical of Arts (IECAMA) in the early 1950s. Its foundation was necessitated with the need for modernizing and advancing Ethiopia???s agriculture through the production of trained manpower and pragmatic research and extension programs.

Hawassa University

Hawassa University (HU) is one of the first-generation universities in Ethiopia whose establishment was laid as Awassa College of Agriculture (ACA) in 1976 with the admission of 217 students. It was later restructured and promoted to a university in 2000, named ???Debub University??? with the merger of ACA and two other colleges in southern Ethiopia: Wondogenet College of Forestry and Natural Resources, established in 1978; and Dilla College of Teachers??? Education and Health Sciences, established in 1996. In 2006, it was renamed ???Hawassa University???

Aksum University

Aksum University is a teaching university in Tigray Region, Axum, Ethiopia. It offers programs and researches which lead toward degrees and masters in different fields of studies. It was established in February 2007 with the objective of teaching learning, research and community service.

Jimma University

Jimma University was founded on the amalgamation of the the Jimma Institute of Health Science and the Jimma College of Agriculture in the 1980???s. Both institutions had been national leaders in their respective fields, and with the merger, the development of a new, multifaceted and development oriented institution was able to emerge from the two former specialty institutions. Throughout the 1990???s Ethiopia as a nation was determined to overcome the significant development challenges facing the country.

Mekelle University

Mekelle University is found at the town of Mekelle in Tigray region of Northern Ethiopia, at a distance of 783 Kilometers from the Ethiopian capital. The merger the two former colleges: Mekelle Business College and Mekelle University College established the University in May, 2000 by the Government of Ethiopia (Council of Ministers, Regulations No. 61/1999 of Article 3) as an autonomous higher education institution.

Masuku University of Science and Technology

The University of Science and Technology of Masuku was created in 1986 in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 7/85 and by the transfer, from Libreville to Franceville, of the Faculty of Sciences, of the National Higher School of Engineers of Libreville (ENSIL), now Masuku Polytechnic School (EPM). It was financed by the Gabonese Investment Fund with assistance from the Saudi Development Fund, the Islamic Development Bank and the French Republic.
