University of Bahr El Ghazal

University of Bahrl El-Ghazal is one of the five established public institution of learning in the Republic of South Sudan. It worth mentioning that the establishment of the universities did not occur synchronously, but at different times. University of Juba the oldest among them all was established in 1975/1976, while Bahr El-Ghazal and Upper Nile Universities were simultaneously established in 1991. Rumbek University got off the ground in 2008 and Dr John Garang Memorial University 2009.

Catholic University of South Sudan

The Catholic University of South Sudan represents a dream long deferred. In 1983, the late Pope John Paul II spoke with then President J. M. Nimeiry about a Catholic University in the Sudan. In 2003, on the occasion of the canonization of Daniel Comboni, the Holy Father again raised the issue of a Catholic University and encouraged the Bishops to establish a University. University of Juba

University of Juba is a Public University located in Juba, South Sudan, founded in 1975 in response to the need for Higher Education in Southern areas of Sudan. The University of Juba is a leading educational center of excellence that is committed to national economic empowerment and social transformation through provision of quality education, pursuit of relevant research, promotion of innovation, facilitation of technology transfer, revival of national cultural heritage, protection of environment, and service to community.

Dr. John Garang Memorial University of Science and technology

Dr. John Garang Memorial University of Science and Technology was first established as an institute and was upgraded to the university status after the war mainly in 2010. The university is named as Dr. John Garang Memorial University of Science and Technology in memory of Dr John Garang???s contribution to bringing independence of South Sudan to a reality.

Somalia National University

Nugaal University

Nugaal University is an accredited higher education institution that was constituted in 14 September 2004, by a visionary group of intellectuals; who saw the need and gaps in the area of higher education in the region. The university is located in the heart of Lasanod city, Sool Region. Nugaal University received its official charter to function as an institute of higher education in 2004. Since then NU has attained great milestones in providing quality and affordable education to the people of Sool region and Neighboring regions. 

University of Rwanda

The University of Rwanda (UR) is a public Higher Learning Institution established by the law n?? 71/2013 of 10/09/2013. In 2013, the National University of Rwanda (NUR) founded in 1963 together with other six public higher learning institutions were merged to form the University of Rwanda (UR). UR is governed by the Board of Governors and an Academic Senate, with staff and student representation, along with the Vice Chancellor who is the University???s Chief Executive Officer. UR is organized under a collegiate model with 6 Colleges.

University of Embu

The University of Embu (UoEm) was established as a Constituent College of the University of Nairobi via a Legal Notice No. 65 of 17th June, 2011 by His Excellency the President. EUC is the successor of the former Embu Agricultural Staff Training (EAST) College which started in 1947 as an agricultural training school and was later renamed Embu Institute of Agriculture in 1968.

University of Eldoret

The University of Eldoret was initially known as Chepkoilel when it was Moi University???s satellite campus. The University is an independent institution which transformed its name from Chepkoilele to university of Eldoret (UOELD). The university aims to provide quality education, training, research, and consultancy in Science, Agriculture and Technology to meet the needs and aspirations of a dynamic society
