David Martin Amitu (Ugandan)  is the Technical Specialist - System Administration at the RUFORUM Secretariat and joined the Secretariat in 2018. He is a  telecommunications engineer with expertise in ICT and telecommunications. He holds Masters degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Trento, Italy and BSc in Telecommunications Engineering from Makerere University. David has over 12 years of experience in Telecom/IT. He previously worked with Nokia Networks as a regional field operations engineer, where he was in charge of maintaining, installation, commissioning and acceptance in the radio access network of Airtel in Uganda.
He has also engaged in consultancies in Telecom/IT with Prime Telecoms in Kenya and Lionbridge Technologies in Italy.
He has received training and certifications in Network security, project management & planning, Business Intelligence and Knowledge Management.
