Dr. Mary Shawa is the Honorary President of Chanasa Chifundo Malawi. She is a former Principal Secretary in the Government of Malawi. Previously, she served as a Secretary in the Ministries of Health, and the Office of the President and Cabinet for Nutrition, HIV and AIDS, and the Gender, Children, Disability and Social Welfare, and Transport and Public Works. She has represented Malawi at various fora as a delegate, leader of delegation, resource person, facilitator and presenter. She has been instrumental in negotiating for the United Nation Sustainable Development Goals and African Union Agenda 2063 "The Africa We Want". She is a Member of the RUFORUM Board Executive and Chairs the RUFORUM Finance and Administration Committee
